Meet Meleah
Helping You Build a Life Bigger Than Anxiety
Hi, I'm Meleah! I'm so glad you're here.
I know how overwhelming it can feel to search for a therapist. You're trusting someone with the parts of your life that often feel the most vulnerable, and you deserve a therapist who not only has specialized training but who genuinely cares about getting to know you as a person.
I specialize in working with adults experiencing OCD, anxiety disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and the unique challenges that can come with being neurodivergent. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we'll build practical skills that help you move toward the life you want—not one dictated by fear, uncertainty, or self-doubt.
Professionally, I hold a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Washington University (2010) and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Walden University (2022). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota. Beyond my graduate education, I've pursued advanced postgraduate training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and anxiety disorders, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT) for body-focused repetitive behaviors, and adapting these evidence-based approaches for neurodivergent adults. I'm passionate about continuing to learn and staying current with emerging research so I can provide care that is both compassionate and grounded in the best available evidence.
My passion for this work is personal as well as professional. For years, I struggled with OCD before finally receiving specialized treatment that truly worked. That experience showed me how life-changing the right therapy can be and inspired me to help others find the same freedom. I was also diagnosed as neurodivergent later in life, giving me a deeper appreciation for how empowering it can be to better understand yourself and learn to work with your brain instead of against it.
Outside of the therapy office, I'm a military spouse, mom, and lifelong learner. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a personal trainer, and I still love strength training, cycling, and finding new ways to stay active. You'll often find me spending time with my dog, Ranger, taking long walks, trying new local restaurants, making handcrafted goat's milk soap, or getting completely absorbed in a good documentary.
I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be honest, challenged enough to grow, and supported enough to keep going when things get hard. My goal isn't to "fix" you, because you're not broken. It's to help you develop the confidence, flexibility, and skills to build a life that's guided by your values rather than your anxiety.
